Ubon United was born on January 30, 2015 (2015) by the Eagles who had risen up the ranks from amateur football until reaching Division 1 in the 2016 (2016) season and stepped up to compete in the highest-level football league.

UMT Stadium is located in the Eastern University of Management and Technology in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.

The history of UMT Stadium began construction in 2015 until completed in late 2016, coinciding with Ubon United’s first match in the Thai League.
Also, the first game after the stadium opened was a warm-up game between Thep Insee and Nong Bua. Pitchaya FC, which the home team was able to win with a score of 1-0 thanks to a goal from Brazilian striker Tiago Chulapa.
