You could refill your prescriptions and take care of your faxing needs all in one place, just by visiting your nearest Walgreens.

You might already visit the pharmacy chain to refill prescriptions, but can you swing by to send a fax?

Does Walgreens Fax Service Exist?

Walgreens was founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1901. Its headquarters office is in the Chicago suburb of Deerfield, Illinois.

Walgreens is a neighborhood drugstore with a lot of extras. Stores specialize in filling prescriptions, health and wellness products, health information, and photo services.

And you can shop for many reasonably priced household goods.

The store’s policy is that you cannot send or receive a fax at any Walgreens location.

Walgreens’s customer service explained that they do not have any fax machines in stores that are available for public use.

We also contacted several Walgreens and Duane Reade stores to check if they may have fax machines, and they also confirmed that they do not offer fax services to the public.

Walgreens did suggest that if you need fax services to send or receive a fax, it is best to check with a local office supply or UPS store for assistance.

Many office-related services like copying, printing, and faxing are not available at drugstores like Walgreens or Duane Reade.

Does Walgreens Have Fax Machines?

Your local pharmacy might be your usual stop, but unfortunately, their fax machines aren’t for public use.

If you’re curious, you can call the nearest store and ask. You can easily find nearby locations using their official store locator or a map app.

Even if Walgreens does have fax machines, they’re not available for customers to use. It’s against their store policy.

While Walgreens doesn’t offer fax services or public fax machines, you have other options.

You could try an online fax service for digital faxing, or look for local stores with accessible fax machines for public use. Just find a fax plan that suits your needs.

Where Else Can You Go to Fax Off Documents?

On the other hand, Walgreens does not provide fax services, so it is advisable to look around for stores that can do so.

Fortunately, there are several options available:

1. Staples: Staples offers all these services in their stores through self-service machines which enable customers to fax, print, copy, and scan documents.

2. UPS: The primary service of UPS stores is shipping. However, they also provide fax service. Whether in one of our many US locations or conveniently close to home, you’ll be sure to have an easy time looking for one.

3. Office Depot (Office Max): As well as Staples, Office Depot has faxing available at their stores for customers to use as self-service. In their store locator or with the Maps app they can find the nearest one.

4. FedEx: FedEx stores have self-service fax machines to cater to our client’s needs, and the staff is available to render assistance if necessary. You can send out any local, domestic, and international faxes with end-to-end encryption.

5. AAA: AAA locations go beyond roadside assistance by also offering fax services for their members. Now, as a member, all you need to do is present your membership card to use their free fax services.

6. Walmart: Walmart is only a retail store and it doesn’t provide fax service, either.

These stores offer services that are very convenient to your faxing needs, be it within or outside the country.

What Kind of Services Do Walgreens and Duane Reade Offer?

Duane Reade is one of the most recognized drugstore chains in metropolitan New York.

In 2010, Duane Reade became part of the Walgreens family of companies and today their stores carry an extensive assortment of pharmacy items and cosmetics, greeting cards, photo processing, etc.

On April 9, 2010, Duane Reade was gained by the Walgreen Company for $1.075 billion comprising $618 million in cash and $427 million in assumed debt.

Here are the services that Walgreens and Duane Reade do offer:

1. Photo Center: You can print your digital photos, make photo books, order mugs or other memorabilia with your photos, take passport photos, and more.

2. Pharmacy: You can pick up prescriptions, buy over-the-counter meds, get your flu shot, and more.

3. Health Clinic: Some locations have basic clinics, where you can make appointments to see a medical professional and get care for basic health concerns.

4. Western Union: Walgreens is a Western Union agent, which means you can send/receive money transfers and pay bills.

It’s best to contact a shipping store like UPS or FedEx to see if they offer faxing services.

Store representatives may even be able to take care of your faxing for you while you shop. Some grocery stores offer public access to fax machines for convenience.

It might be worth a call to double-check with your local grocer. Also, try your local public library, a hotel, or a bank for these faxing services.

While Walgreens may not have fax services available, there are plenty of other stores where you can get your faxing needs met.

So, next time you need to fax, you have several convenient options.
