Sales of Alcohol at Walmart & Knowing When Walmart Closes Sales
Walmart provides different alcoholic beverages, and you can drop them into your shopping cart along with other items.
Read through to know which alcoholic beverages Walmart sells, if your local Walmart sells alcohol, and at what time alcohol sales start and end in your state.
Which Walmart Stores Sell Alcohol?
A few states have important restrictions on where alcohol can be sold, and a couple even limits alcohol sales to state-owned stores.
Regardless of the various state laws, Walmart understands how to sell alcoholic beverages in some structure in each state (though not necessarily at each store in each state).
In New Hampshire, for instance, state law constrains the closeout of alcohol to state-possessed stores, yet Walmart sells brew and wine.
In Utah, state law confines the offer of alcohol inside markets, so you’ll discover Walmart selling alcoholic beverages (mostly only beer) in a different structure, alongside its customary store.
To check what alcoholic beverages are available at a particular Walmart, use the “Local Store” highlight. From that point, you can search by city or postal district to find your neighborhood store.
At that point, use the “search our racks” capability to perceive what’s available at your Walmart. You can look for a particular alcohol brand or search general terms like “brew” or “wine.”
Visit the Beer, Wine, and Spirits area of the Walmart site. Close to the highest point of the shown items, you’ll see alternatives to refine your inquiry.
Enter your postal district in the “Store availability” box to see a rundown of adjacent store areas selling alcohol. If no stores appear, there isn’t a Walmart in your region that sells alcohol.

Alcohol Sales Times at Walmart by State
If you plan on going to your local Walmart to buy alcohol immediately after the doors open, or if you wish to make a late-night dash to your 24-hour store location, take a little break and read up on this entire section.
Alcohol sales are subject to many state and local rules and regulations.
This means that Walmart does not define the hours of the day and night it can sell out alcohol; but, it must follow the day and time limitation every state or county mandates.
Most states limit the hours of the day when alcohol can be sold, and many need that stores stop selling alcohol very early as 9 p.m.
The time we’ve added to our list below is the same each day of the week, unless in some countries and states that have additional restrictions as noted.
While most states permit alcohol to be sold each day of the week, lots of counties and some entire states have additional restrictions on alcohol sales on Sundays.
There are also a lot of counties that are dry, meaning that no alcohol sales are allowed ever. And, there’s Alaska, which doesn’t permit alcohol sales when election polls are open.
