What time does McDonald’s open might just be what you need to know about McDonald’stoday to know when and when not to place your other. This article covers a lot about the opening and closing times and if you are a fan of McDonald’s or perhaps setting out to try the branch in your new neighborhood, then this article is for you.
The fast-food chain started by reopening 39 branches for drive-thru on May 20, including 33 restaurants in England and six more in the Republic of Ireland.
It then reopened 160 drive-thrus on June 2, with nearly 500 more stores opening on June 3.
In total, 852 restaurants offering drive-thru only are now open, 56 are open for delivery only and a further 26 are offering both – you can check which branches are open on McDonald’s website.
What time does McDonald’s Start Serving Breakfast?
Breakfast starts and ends at different times at different restaurants. A general rule, though, is that breakfast is served when the restaurant opens, or if the branch is open 24 hours, from 5am.
What time does McDonald’s Stop Serving Breakfast?
McDonald’s serves breakfast until 11am at all restaurants across the UK. The previous cut-off time for breakfast was 10.30am, but the chain extended the hours in November 2019.
According to McDonald’s, this is because they can’t accommodate cooking both the breakfast and main menu at the same time.
The company website states: ‘Items on our breakfast menu are cooked slightly differently and at a different temperature from items on our main menu. ‘
This means we don’t have enough space in our kitchens to accommodate the cooking and preparation of our breakfast and main menus at the same time.
The 11am cut-off enables us to accommodate our breakfast lovers, whilst allowing the customers who enjoy our main menu to get their food before 11:30am.’
What Time do McDonald’s Drive-thru Open?
McDonald’s is currently running reduced opening times of 11am to 10pm every day at all branches, including drive-thrus. The reduced hours are due to having fewer staff working in kitchens at one time.
If you’re keen to pop by, make sure you’re not in a rush as some customers said they had to queue for two hours.
What’s on the menu?
The reduced opening hours means there are no breakfast options currently available – although McDonald’s says it’s planning to start trialing the breakfast menu in a few weeks.
McDonald’s has also temporarily axed menu items such as wraps and shakes to maintain social distancing between kitchen staff.
Fortunately, plenty of fan favourites are still available, including the Big Mac and McNuggets .
You can order food by going through a drive-thru or via home delivery through Uber Eats or Just Eat.
McDonald’s revealed that it would stop being walk-in takeaways at the start of lockdown, but it started to bring this service back at some locations this week.
The fast-food chain said a walk-in service will be available again in all its branches in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Ireland from Monday, February 22 onwards.
But before you make a trip, it’s best to check to see if your local restaurant is open by using the chain’s restaurant locator.
In previous lockdowns you could go in and get your McDonald’s food to eat elsewhere.
Paul Pomroy, McDonald’s boss for UK and Ireland, said: “A month ago we made the voluntary decision to temporarily close walk-in takeaway while we reviewed our safety measures to ensure they reflect the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Working closely with third-party safety expert NSF International, we identified a small number of changes to further enhance our procedures, and we are currently in the process of rolling these out to restaurants.”
He has apologised to customers who have struggled to get food delivered and warned that orders may take longer than in usual times.
McDonald’s works with both Uber Eats and Just Eat for all its delivery orders – but not all restaurants offer both services.
You should also keep in mind that you’ll pay a delivery charge on top of your order.
This usually depends on how far away from the restaurant you are.
Enter your postcode on Uber Eats and Just Eat to see if McDonald’s delivery is available near you.
McDonald’s will now also deliver food to your car so you can skip the drive-thru queue.
You can also use the My McDonald’s app to pre-order your food and pick it up.
The My McDonald’s app can be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play, and it doesn’t cost extra to click and collect.
Is McDonald’s Open On Easter?
It is already established that Starbucks is open on Easter. And a handful of your other faves are open as well. But is the king of fast food open that day? The answer is…yes!
That said, McDonald’s restaurants are mostly independently owned, so different locations’ hours on Easter Sunday may vary. Still, you can expect most McDonald’s hours will either be the same 24/7 they usually are, while others might be open from 6 a.m. to midnight that day.
But obviously, this Easter is a little bit different than normal. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, McDonald’s has closed its dining rooms in the U.S. and in many other places around the world. With Easter just a few weeks away, it seems likely that will continue up until April 4.
That said, if McDonald’s on Easter is your tradition, you can still get your fix via the drive-thru, to-go, and delivery options.
There you can still eat their new original or spicy chicken sandwiches with an orange Hi-C as well as your old favorites. I hear the Easter Bunny loves a McChicken.
Everyone loves McDonald’s and most likely would want to try it out. This article has covered just the times you can get your breakfast, and other meals from McDonald so you have nothing to worry about as you have the entire opening time on your sleeves.
