FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is the only application required to apply for need-based financial aid at UMass Dartmouth. Before applying, request a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) and password for you and a parent/guardian.

In order to be considered for financial aid, you must meet eligibility requirements.
Be aware of deadlines. Do not wait to be accepted for admission. Complete the FAFSA as soon after October 1 as possible. Priority consideration deadline is March 1.

You can apply for UMassD scholarships at the scholarship landing page. Use your UMassD username and password to log in.
New students: you will receive your UMassD student account information once your application to apply has been processed through its Admissions Office, and you have made your deposit to enroll.
Applications: All students should fill out the UMassD General Scholarship Application. This single application allows you to be considered for multiple scholarships.

Deadlines: Due dates for the 2021-22 Academic Year for each scholarship application vary, with most deadlines ranging from March 1, 2021, through July 1, 2021. Study abroad deadlines will vary based on the semester of travel. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
FAFSA: For need-based scholarships, you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1, 2021, and complete verification, if applicable.
Full-time Status: Unless otherwise stated, scholarships require full-time status, which is 9+ day credits per semester for graduate students and 12+ day credits per semester for undergraduate students.
