About Valencia

One of the biggest cultural and scientific complexes in Europe is the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.

5. Science Museum

Numerous interactive science and technology exhibitions are available at the Science Museum. 

The ground floor, which typically has a temporary exhibition, has some shops, restrooms, and a café, is accessible only by visiting. 

To enter the remaining exhibitions, you must have a ticket. 

All visitors to the museum can participate in scientific workshops, but you must purchase a separate ticket for those events.

6. Hemisfèric

The Hemisfèric is a digital 3D theater with a 900-meter concave screen that almost completely envelops audience members. 

Every day, several movies are shown, mostly 45-minute or less instructive documentaries that are appropriate for all audiences. 

Along with your ticket, you’ll get a set of cutting-edge 3D glasses that let you select a different language for the movie. 

Every day, a kid-friendly movie is typically available if you’re traveling with kids.

7. Oceanogràfic

Visits to Valencia would be incomplete without stopping by Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe. 

Nearly 45,000 specimens of 500 different species can be seen in seven distinct maritime habitats, including dolphins, beluga whales, walruses, sea lions, seals, penguins, and sharks. 

Don’t overlook the daily exhibition held in the dolphinarium. For the excursion, allot at least half a day.

Tips and Advice

1. Time

Depending on your level of interest and motivation, it may take you an average of 3 hours to see the Prince Felipe Science Museum and 4 hours to see the Oceanographic. 

The average session at the Hemisfèric lasts between 45 and 50 minutes. 

Although in a single day, you can visit the entire complex, we advise taking two or three days to enjoy a more leisurely tour.

2. Accessibility

Every day of the year, the City of Arts and Sciences is accessible. The public is welcome to visit the Museum and the Oceanographic Center starting at 10:00.

3. Safety

You can leave your baggage or other possessions at the left-luggage facility located in the building that serves as the Oceanographic’s entrance, just near to the information desk. 

There is no need to make a reservation, and it costs 2€ per day. 

There is a free cloakroom available at the Principe Felipe Science Museum, although it does not take bags or other large goods.

4. Old Town

It takes around 40 minutes to walk from the old town via the deserted Turia River Gardens and all the way down to the City of Arts and Sciences.

5. Learning

Children may experience and learn about science at the interactive Prince Felipe Museum of Science. The museum has excellent usability.

6. Excursions

To visit the structure, there are opera house excursions available. Verify the tour schedule.

Don’t miss the Dolphin show or the shark tunnel at the aquarium, where you may walk through the tunnel and observe sharks swimming around you.

7. Tours

Visit the magnificent Pont de l’Assut de l’Or suspension bridge in the center of the complex.

A retail center featuring stores and restaurants is located in front of the City of Arts and Sciences. A very large mall with nearby restaurants for shopping.
