MileUp App Review 2021 Update: Legit or Scam?

Did you know that you could earn money just by driving your car? Well, you can, kind of, with the MileUp app. For every mile you drive, MileUp is an app that tracks you’re driving and gives you points. If you will like to find out more about the MileUp App then this article is for you.

MileUp App Review 2020: Is the App Legit or Scam?

It’s an app that rewards its users while they drive.  Every mile drove earns you 2 points.  Those points can be exchanged for sweepstakes entries (minimum 75 points).

Can be a great app for people driving a lot, even if you can’t really cash out anything (only participate in sweepstakes).  But, there seems to be a lot of people complaining about the data usage of the app.

What is MileUp?

On Google Play and iTunes, MileUp is an app available. Download the software you carry with you in the car on your smartphone or device and it will let you know how your driving performance stacks up against other users and tell you what you’re doing well with and what can be improved.

But, it’s not just a driving babysitter. It pays you for sharing your driving data!

You’ll let it know your location when you set up the app, and then drive as you usually would.

MileUp can keep track of what you do and how well you do it to keep your best behavior on the road at all times.

Since you share your driving details with the app, you’ll have the ability to make some money.

  • You’ll be compensated to do what you always do, which is to literally just drive. If you’re the type to drive from one place to another on a regular basis, this may just be for you.
  • It won’t be a distraction to your road focus. Leave the application as is in the background, it’ll continue to collect data all throughout your miles.
  • Data is used for road safety.
  • You’ll earn points for every mile you’ve passed.
  • Other options to earn points and win rewards, such as reporting accidents and participating in challenges.

  • If your school/workplace is only a short 5-min drive, you won’t be able to benefit from the app. It’ll take a long time.
  • MileUp doesn’t redeem your points anymore on Walmart, Amazon, and Nike, which is quite a bummer.
  • If you don’t have any WiFi on you while you’re driving, then your data will be eaten up right away. People who aren’t on an unlimited data plan don’t suit this app.

How does MileUp Work?

MileUp is both a helpful and money-making app. The main point of the app is to assist people with their driving skills. Do you have a teenage child on the road who is just learning how to drive independently? Perhaps you just want to see how your skills compare to others?

This app lets you keep track of everything you do while driving, like how far you travel, your average speed, and even if you brake and accelerate safely and efficiently.

Basically, anything that can help teach you to become a better driver, MileUp can help you with.

But, since you’re sharing all this information with MileUp, you’ll also have a chance to earn some money for your help through weekly and monthly sweepstakes.

MileUp hopes that, by collecting the information from drivers all over the United States, they can provide helpful insights to make the roads safer for everyone.

Since you’re a part of the process, the app rewards you for your help.

MileUp even tracks your phone usage during your trip so that you can see how many times you’re distracted by your phone on the road. This can be especially useful information for parents of driving kids.

The thing is, this may just be too good to be true if you don’t know how they can make $$$ out of it.

Aegro retrieves your data from MileUp because of this; they’ll be able to cut on costs by saving money similar type of data coming from other companies, such as online research organizations.

It’s definitely more cost-effective for them to get the right data coming from the app than by going through the whole strenuous process of a middleman.

Some of the company’s savings are rewarded to the app users through rewards and sweepstakes, given that they’ve provided all the info needed.

What is the Referral Program Like?

I love when apps and websites have referral programs that let you earn a little more. Some apps just don’t work well for everyone, and MileUp is no exception.

Those who don’t drive much won’t have much luck earning points, whereas Uber drivers can get tons of points in no time.

But, you can still cash in with the referral program, regardless of how successful you are with the app.

With MileUp, you can receive 100 points every time you refer a friend. All they have to do is drive at least ten miles using the app and then you’ll receive your points within 72 hours.

Is MileUp Scam or Legit?

MileUp is legit, but it may not be the best way to make money. Since switching from gift card rewards to only giving sweepstakes entries as a way to spend points, it seems to have lost a lot of its loyal members who once touted it as a simple way to earn some extra cash.

However, the app couldn’t be simpler to use. Bring your phone with you, turn on the app, and let it track your driving.

You don’t have to do anything else with it besides turning your points in for sweepstakes entries.

If nothing else, you still have a chance to win some big cash prizes and help improve road safety.

If you tend to drive in areas with good Wi-Fi connectivity often or have an excellent data plan, I will recommend using MileUp to make sure the app accurately records your miles.

It may not be the best way for others to have a chance at making money.
