Currently in Office

On March 1, 2018. Former Wyoming Governor Matt Mead (R) appointed Edward Buchanan. To the position of Wyoming Secretary of State.

 He took over for former officeholder Ed Murray. Who resigned in February 2018 amid allegations of sexual misconduct.

Moreso, on March 5, 2018, Buchanan was sworn into office. They re-elected him to finish Murray’s term. Which ended in January 2019. And In 2018, Buchanan was re-elected to a full term.

Duties of Wyoming Secretary of State Business (Search)

The Wyoming Secretary of State is in charge of the state’s great seal. When required by law.

They affix the governor’s seal on and countersign commissions, official acts of the governor, and other paperwork.

The Secretary of State’s additional responsibilities. Is described in Wyoming Code Title 9, Chapter 1, Article 3. The secretary is the keeper and preserver of:

  1. All governors’ proclamations declare the implementation of constitutional changes. corporate revocations, and any other proclamation. Recognized by the governor as a permanent record. The secretary of state must preserve for one year all other governor’s proclamations. After which it must deliver them. To the department of state parks and cultural resources for destruction or preservation.
  2. When no alternative provision is made by law. The state’s property.
  3. Copies of all clemency documents signed by the governor. Such as pardons, commutations of sentences, reprieves, and fees. Or forfeiture remissions and civil rights restorations.
  4.  All public papers, documents, acts, and resolutions of Wyoming’s territorial and state legislatures.

Divisions

As of January 2021, they composed the office of the secretary of state of five offices:

  1. The Administration Division “provides the Office with information technology resources and support, as well as managing the Office’s fiscal and personnel duties.””
  2. The Company Division is in charge of keeping track of business records, such as trademarks and trade names.
  3. “Wyoming’s securities business, as well as the actions of Commercial Registered Agents,” according to the Compliance Division.
  4. The Election Division oversees all elections in the state. The division keeps track of campaign finance data, election results, and lobbyist registrations.
  5. “The Executive Office Division offers leadership and direction to the Office as a whole,” says the division’s description.

You may now sort through the matched entities and see their Filing ID Number, type, and date of incorporation. And Secretary of State Standing (Good or Delinquent).

Step 3 – Retrieve Information

You’ve finished your search and can now see all the entity’s information.

including its Name, Filing ID Number, Type, Previous Names, Fictitious Names, and the State of Incorporation.

In addition to Term of Duration, Purpose Code, Status & Standing, Initial Filing Date, and Principal Mailing Address. and Registered Agent information (Name and Address).

Also, you can file an annual report at the top of the page (if you are a representative of the entity).
