  • Click on recently deleted messages.
  • Here you will find messages that were deleted within the past 30 days. To restore, click on it.
  • Now, click on recover and that particular message will go back into your messages.

Using an iCloud backup to Get Deleted Messages

If you are looking for a simple way to find your deleted messages, especially when it has been more than 30 days and you don’t have iOS 16, then consider using iCloud backup. 

Fortunately for you, if you have an iCloud backup before the messages were deleted, it should be possible for you to get the messages back by restoring your iPhone to your iCloud backup. 

To go about this, you will find a list of your backups for your iPhone, simply click on the one that is for your phone to see when you last backed up. 

However, you will have to reset your phone to factory settings and then have it set up again while choosing to restore it from your iCloud backup during this process. 

Once your iPhone reboots and begins the setup process, choose the recovery from the iCloud backup and select the backup that is within 30 days after the messages were deleted. 

Note that none of these methods are magic. If you have conducted a backup on your device before the messages were deleted, you will obviously find your messages.
