The Department of Human Services (DHS) in North Dakota is responsible for implementing compensation from the North Dakota Food Stamp. Also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program ( SNAP), the food stamps program.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to qualify for SNAP, you must be a resident of North Dakota and fall into one of two groups :

(2) those with a current bank balance (savings and checks combined) of less than $3,500 who share their household with a person or persons 60 years of age or older, or with a person with a disability (a child, your spouse, an individual with a disability)
For qualify, you must have an annual household income that is less than or equal to the following sums (before taxes):

North Dakota EBT Payment Schedule
Benefits are made available on the first day of every month. Once your benefits are deposited into your account, you can begin using them with your North Dakota EBT card to purchase eligible food items.
Stores That Take EBT Online for Delivery
As you may know, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has started a pilot program (Online Purchasing Pilot) to allow select grocery stores to start accepting EBT cards online for grocery shopping, including delivery to your doorstep.

Where can’t I use my North Dakota EBT Card?
You cannot use your North Dakota EBT Card at the following locations:

- Tattoo & Piercing Shops
- Spa/Massage Salons
- Bingo Halls

Foods and Products Not Eligible for Purchase with the North Dakota EBT Card
- Hot foods from deli/foods to be eaten in store
- Vitamins or medication
- Pet food
- Paper or cleaning products

How to Check your North Dakota EBT Card Balance
There are three options for checking your North Dakota EBT Card balance. Here they are:
Option 1 – Locate Your Last Purchase Receipt
One of the easiest ways to check the balance of your North Dakota EBT Card is to find the latest purchase receipt or ATM receipt (only for TANF receivers).
You’ll find the current balance at the bottom of the receipt on your account. Be sure to save all of your recent EBT Card receipts to check your balance using this form.
Option 2 – Check Your Card Balance Via Phone
Another choice is to check your card balance by calling phone number 1-800-630-4655 of the North Dakota EBT Card Customer Service team.
For English, click the “1.” Type in your 16-digit EBT Card number after that. When entered, you’ll be supported with your balance.
Option 3 – Check Your North Dakota EBT Card Balance Online
The last way to check the balance on the North Dakota EBT Card is online. The EBT Edge website allows you to find out your EBT Card balance online.
Click the “Cardholder Login” button on the left side of the page once you are at the site. You’ll then be taken to a new tab.
Next in the login line, enter your User ID and Password. To login into your North Dakota EBT account and check your EBT balance, you must enter your User ID and Password.
