How Long Does it Take to Complete an NVQ?

There is no set time limit for these qualifications, and you’re free to complete an NVQ at your own pace. However, the first three levels will generally take around a year each to complete.

The Role of the Regulated Qualifications Framework

NVQs fall under the umbrella of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which came into effect in October 2015.

According to the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), the RQF has been designed to help people understand better how qualifications relate to each other.

The RQF replaces the former Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), which was introduced in 2008.
