– Food Delivery –
Are you looking for a way to earn some extra cash and spend a lot of time in your car? By making deliveries on the side, you can take advantage of this demand.
Becoming a delivery person is one way to bring in some extra cash. Working for a big company such as FedEx or UPS is not the only way to make money-delivering products.
You can deliver restaurant orders, groceries, packages, and more.
Delivery app jobs allow you to choose the hours you deliver and work as often as you want. You may also pick the deliveries that you take and refuse those that do not match your schedule.

Instacart
Instacart provides grocery delivery and pick-up services on the same day for customers who shop online or with the Instacart app in local grocery stores.
Once they finish shopping, they can ask a personal shopper to pick up their order and deliver it to them the same day.
Instacart offers two options for shoppers, unlike other apps: full-service and in-store only. As a full-service shopper, you shop for orders and deliver them to customers.
In-store shoppers shop for items and prepare the order for the customers to pick up. This choice provides a little more versatility, particularly for those without a car.
Postmates
Postmates is another U.S.-based company that provides delivery services to customers in almost 3,000 cities nationwide. They specialize in same-day delivery of takeout food, groceries, and other products that customers need to be delivered.
Delivery drivers get some additional perks to pay and tips. Delivery drivers should be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license if using a car, scooter or motorcycle, and have auto insurance.
Also, every driver who makes at least 10 deliveries a month gets discounts for the following month on shops and brands via the PerkSpot Program.
DoorDash
DoorDash is one of the most popular food delivery apps in the market. Liked by both customers and drivers (called dashers), the service is available in over 4,000 cities nationwide, Canada, and Australia.
As a Dasher you deliver restaurant meals to people at home or work. Unlike Postmates, you only deliver food. You can deliver meals via car, motorcycle, bike, or foot, depending on where you live.
Shipt
To shop for Shipt, delivering fresh groceries and everyday essentials to customers, you need a smartphone to manage your orders.
Shipt also requires a reliable vehicle that is from model year 1997 or later and the ability to lift 40 pounds.
Unlike some other delivery services, Shipt also requires you to have knowledge of produce selection.
Shipt pays contractors on a per-order basis and says orders can pay up to $22 apiece. Shipt makes payments weekly via direct deposit.
Shipt operates in cities nationwide, so the chances are good that you can find work doing the grocery shopping for others.
Uber Eats
You may have heard of Uber. Uber is a ridesharing app that transports people. However, you may not be comfortable driving people around town. Well, Uber Eats lets you deliver food to customers instead.
As with the other delivery apps, you have flexible hours when you deliver with Uber Eats.
You can also choose your own wheels. Depending on the city you live in, you can deliver with a car, scooter, bicycle or other modes of transportation.
Uber Eats is available in many cities throughout the United States. As an independent contractor, Uber pays you for each delivery.
It’s possible to request payments up to five times daily. You can also earn tips as many Uber Eats delivery partners do.
Note: you have to be at least 19 years of age to deliver with Uber Eats. You also need a car that is 2000 or newer.

Caviar
Caviar is a food ordering and meal delivery service specializing in local and independent gourmet and fine dining restaurants.
It partners with restaurants in select cities and metro areas, making it easier and quicker to fulfill orders.
There are also a few features that separate it from other delivery services, including a no driver rating system, free occupational accident insurance policy, and higher rates.
Favor Delivery
As with Postmates, Favor Delivery will deliver what clients need in less than an hour. You can work part-time or full-time as one of Favor’s “runners.”
When you’re a runner with Favor, you’re more like a personal assistant. You might deliver groceries, a restaurant meal or pick up and deliver a dry cleaning order. Favor can be an interesting way to make money with your car.
In order to be a runner, you have to be 18 years of age or older and have a reliable vehicle. You also need to have a clean driving and personal record.
All scheduled hours have minimum guaranteed pay rates. Most runners earn between $10 and $18 per hour.
GrubHub
GrubHub was one of the first players in the delivery app space. It’s a well-known way to deliver fast food to people or get meals from fast-casual restaurants.
Similar to other driving jobs, you can set your own schedule. Pay is weekly, but you can cash out any time you wish with Instant Cash Out.
GrubHub pays slightly more than other platforms – $3.25 per delivery, plus $.50 per mile driven, according to their website. However, reports indicate pay is close to $12 – $15 per hour.
Saucey
Saucey offers 30-minute delivery of your favorite alcoholic beverages right to your door. The deliver window is narrower than several other delivery apps.

As a Saucey courier, you can choose which hours you work. You will use your vehicle to make deliveries. And you can choose to deliver in a part of town that you’re familiar with.
This is important because Saucey operates in large cities.
Many people think that unless they have a car, they cannot make money-delivering things. The reality is this is not true. With a scooter, bike, or even on foot, you can be able to make deliveries.
In addition, it can provide you with a vehicle or give you the opportunity to rent or borrow one if you land a gig with a delivery company.
While it is a potentially lucrative side hustle to deliver food and other items, you might find it is not for you. There are still plenty of other apps you can use to make money if that happens.
