Deleting a station not only removes the station from your list but also permanently erases the history of songs you’ve rated while listening to that station.

You can create up to 100 unique, customized stations using Pandora’s music service. While this enables you to listen to virtually every type of music you want, it could also be overwhelming.

How to Remove Stations From Pandora Online

When you are logged into your Pandora account on the web, you can quickly get rid of any stations you are no longer interested in.

If you are in the Now Playing or Shuffle mode, you cannot delete individual stations.

  1. Log into Pandora in your web browser.

  2. Select My Collection in the upper-left corner of the page to view all of your radio stations.

    In some accounts, this will be called My Stations or My Music instead.

  3. Point to the first station you want to delete, but do not select it. A Play arrow and a More button appear on the album cover displayed.

  4. Select the More option, which looks like an ellipsis (). A menu appears.

  5. Select Remove from your collection.

  6. The Remove Station dialog appears to confirm that you want to delete the station. Click OK.

    Repeat with any other stations you want to delete on Pandora.

You can remove stations directly from the app on your mobile device. Open Pandora, delete stations.

If you are a Pandora Premium account holder, you can sort your stations to make it easier to find the ones you want to delete.

  1. Open your Pandor mobile app and log in if prompted.

  2. Select the station you want to remove.

    If you have a free Pandora account or you are a Pandora Plus subscriber, selecting the station will start the last station you played. Select the Thumb icon or the Small i icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to continue to the backstage screen.

  3. Select Edit from the bottom of the album cover art displayed.

  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.

  5. Select Delete Station.

  6. Select Delete on the Delete Station: a confirmation message that appears to indicate you really do wish to delete this station.

  7. Repeat with any other stations you want to delete on Pandora.

What to Do if Station Reappears Online

If you deleted a station but it keeps showing up when you access Pandora on the web, check the bookmark you use to access the site. If anything besides https://www.pandora.com appears, remove it and update the bookmark. Reload the page; the station you deleted should be gone.

Easy Steps to Create, Edit, and Delete Stations

1. Create a Station on the Web

  1. In the search tool at the top of your screen enter an artist, song, composer or genre.
  2. Click the search result (it may help to filter your results by Station) to go to its “backstage page.”
  3. Click either Start Station to add the station to your collection.

If you’d rather listen to something right away, you can search for a song or album and press play. If you’re not a Premium subscriber, you’ll be asked to watch a short video advertisement before you listen on-demand.

  1. Go to My Collection. (Pandora Premium account holders may want to filter their collection by Stations for an easier view.)
  2. Click on the title of the station you’d like to edit to go to its “backstage page.”
  3. Click the ellipsis to the right of the play button to reveal an additional menu, and select Edit Station.
  • To add or remove variety (station seeds): Scroll down to the Station Created From section.
    To add variety, click + Add Variety, enter the artist or track you’d like to add, then click on the (+) sign to add that artist or song to your station. To remove variety, hover over the desired seed and select DeleteNote: you cannot add variety to Genre Stations.
  • To view your thumbed tracks: Scroll down to the Thumb History section of the station’s page. By default, this section will show your Thumbed-Up tracks first. If you’d like to see your Thumbs Down, click on the Thumbs Down icon.
  • To delete a Thumbed track: Roll your cursor over the name of the track to reveal a hidden menu (or click the ellipsis if you are a Pandora Premium subscriber). As before, select Delete to remove that thumb from your station.

  2. Hover over the album art of the station you want to delete.
  3. Click the ellipsis (three dots), then select Remove from your collection.

Note: You cannot edit or delete individual stations while in Now Playing or Shuffle mode.

Stop Deleted Stations from Returning

If you have deleted a station from your computer and it seems to keep returning: 

  • You may need to check the bookmark that you use to access Pandora.
  • It should only be: https://www.pandora.com. If there is anything added onto to it (e.g., https://www.pandora.com/genre/new-pop), then erase that.
  • After updating your bookmark, try loading Pandora again to confirm that your deleted station is gone.

If you’re Trying to Recreate a Station you Deleted

To recreate a deleted station, simply create a new station from the same song or artist you’d originally used. That will bring your deleted station back with all of its thumb ratings intact.

Try creating a new station based on a few of your favorite songs from that artist.

If you were unhappy with the way your artist-based station turned out, creating a station based on some of that artist’s songs is a great way to give it another try.

Remember that you can always edit your station (using the steps above) to increase the variety of your current station.
