By putting this card to work spending on things you’d already buy throughout the year, you can earn an incredible $2,000 or more in rewards value with Choice Hotels the first year.
And if you’re a Choice Privileges rewards member, your total points for the year can be worth enough to cover three weeks of free hotel nights or more.
Find out more about this card and how to put it to work in your wallet via our comprehensive summary.
The Choice Privileges® Visa Signature® Card is a relatively unknown card with no annual fee. Featuring 15 points per dollar on all Choice purchases, 5 points per dollar for Choice points purchases, and Choice hotel gift cards.
Also, 2 points per dollar on everything else, this card offers a solid return on spend for frequent Choice customers but not much else.
A consistently undervalued program, Choice hotels comprise a group of more than 7,000 properties across 40 countries.
While in the US these properties aren’t anything special, you can find real value overseas in expensive locations like Scandinavia and Japan.
The Choice Privileges Visa card is the only one on offer from this hotel chain, and while I don’t necessarily recommend this card for everyone, if you’ve got a lot of international travel coming up this card could be worth a spot in your wallet.

How Does a Balance Transfer Work With This Card?
Eligible balance transfers must post to your account within 45 days of card membership. Otherwise, you won’t get the 0% intro APR period for fifteen billing cycles. The standard variable APR on balance transfers is 15.24%, 19.99%, or 24.99%, which applies after the intro APR period expires.
Each balance transfer comes with a fee of $5 or 3% of the transaction, whichever is greater. That means a $1,000 balance transfer will cost $30 in fees. Know that it can take up to four weeks for balance transfers to post to your account.
If your requested balance transfers exceed your available credit limit, Barclays may either decline your request or accept a partial amount. You’re not allowed to transfer balances from another Barclays account.
If you request a balance transfer along with your application and change your mind, call Barclays within 10 days of card approval to cancel it.
